Looks promising, supposedly a l4d2 version in the works too but it would be fun to revisit old-school L4D for a bit...

You gotta work your install a bit - the soundcache is the weirdest one, I had to kill l4d after I did it but it worked.

* To successfully see our custom visual effects:
Temporary disable any custom campaign you may have installed except I Hate Mountains because they can overwrite themselves pretty bad due to engine limitations. To do this, go to Menu > Extra > Add-ons and uncheck the checkboxes near each content. This only include waterfalls, rotor wind, sprinklers rain and such, but plays a huge role in immersion.

* To successfully hear our custom sound effects:
Type snd_rebuildaudiocache in the game console in order to rebuild the game sound cache and include our sounds into it. You may prefer to do it with a game launched else it will freeze your game (but will still work). This only include ambient sound, but plays a huge role in immersion. To learn how to activate the game console, follow the previous link.

* To successfully see our hints:
Because it can be quite intimidating to survive the first tries, enable the game instructor in Options > Multiplayer > Game Instructor and then, type gameinstructor_reset_counts in the game console to reactivate all the help messages.

A WARNING TO CANADIANS: this campaign is set in Canada, and Francis is one of the characters, so you know how he hates stuff...

monkey and i played campaign and the map is truly very polished.. no hints of any sort of graphics stutters or memory leaks (for me at least)... lots of work went into it as far as i can tell..

just do the things in monkey's post namely switch off your other addons by going to options and i think its extras and untick your other addons..

and do the sound thing.. from the console type: snd_rebuildaudiocache it might kick you or hang your shit.. just wait for your pc to stop spinning and it will look like the map is failing to load... just kill the thread with ctr-alt-del and you're ready to play...

there is VS for this as well.. it looks pretty cool.

I started playing this last night, seems very well made. Whenever you guys wanna get a game of L4D going I'm down. Should break up the monotony of late.

Pretty neat campaign. My only complaint is that some parts in some maps are not that well optimized which caused my fps to drop to avg of 30s.
